Responsibilities:
· Build relationships with prospects and current clients, focusing on relationship selling
· Call-on prospective customers to explain benefits, and value of products and services
· Promote all products in sales offering
· Follow-up on sales leads generated from a variety of sources
· Develop a prospective customer list generated by various methods
· Complete bid paperwork in a timely manner and finalize new client contracts
· Accomplish sales goals determined through consultation with management; meet minimum acceptable sales and activity levels
· Complete activity and pipeline reports and submit to management at the required time
· Confer with Service team to resolve client issues
· Travel throughout the market area and spend a majority of time outside of the office, meeting with prospects and clients for the purpose of selling product and services offered
· Maintain flexibility in schedule to accommodate changes in prospect’s or client’s needs
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required; Electrical Engineering degree an advantage, however not required
· 5+ years of outside sales experience in the electrical field required
· Principles and practices of general outside sales processes, including assessing buyer styles and sales personalities; ability to interpret, analyze, and apply company policies, objectives, and sales policies; appropriate methods and means of meeting customer needs
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
· Knowledge of Electrical Transmission and Distribution equipment used in industrial and utility applications is required
· Travel in Western Louisiana territory – up to 80% of the time
